U.S. sailor with U.S. Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Okinawa prepares COVID-19 vaccine for U.S. Marines and sailors on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 29, 2020. Each individual had the option to receive or decline the vaccine. Vaccination distribution prioritization focuses on those providing direct medical care, maintaining essential national security and installation functions, deploying forces, and those at the highest risk for developing severe illness from COVID-19.
