Marines to execute operational pause following aircraft mishap on Okinawa
September 23, 2016 — The III Marine Expeditionary Force commander, Lt. Gen. Lawrence Nicholson, announced a temporary operational pause for all AV-8B ‘Harrier’ jets following a mishap yesterday in the Pacific Ocean east of Okinawa. The mishap resulted in the loss of a single jet. The pilot of the aircraft successfully ejected and was rescued by members of the 33rd
VMGR-152 Welcomes KC-130 Simulator, Completes Relocation to Iwakuni
August 2, 2016 — Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni welcomed a KC-130 simulator transported from Marine Corps Air Station Futenma Tuesday.
The simulator brings new capabilities to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 by allowing pilots to train in a completely simulated environment.
