Master Chief Moore was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1992 as a hospital corpsman.


Master Chief Moore's Naval assignments include Naval Medical Center San Diego; National Naval Medical Center Bethesda; USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71); USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG-54); Regional Support Organization San Diego; Commander, Destroyer Squadron Fifteen; Commander, U.S. Seventh Fleet, and Afloat Training Group (ATG) San Diego.


Master Chief Moore's Fleet Marine Force Assignments include 3d Force Service Support Group, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines where he deployed with the 26th MEU/SOC, participating in OPERATION JOINT ENDEAVOR, in support of the UN and NATO peacekeeping efforts in the former Yugoslavia.


Master Chief Moore has served as the Command Master Chief, 3d Marine Division and currently serves as the Command Master Chief, III Marine Expeditionary Force in Okinawa, Japan.


Master Chief Moore is a graduate of the Navy's Leadership and Ethics Center Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course, Keystone course, Senior Enlisted Academy, and he has earned a Master's degree in Leadership from Trident University International. 


His personal awards and decorations include the Fleet Marine Force, Surface and Aviation Warfare qualification badges, the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (third award), Navy Achievement Medal (fifth award), a Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and numerous campaign and unit awards. He is the recipient of the Peter Tomich Distinguished Leadership Award.
