COVID-19 Marine Forces Japan Guidance

 

Effective 8 May 2023, HPCON 0 (NORMAL) will be established throughout Japan.

The Government of Japan has eliminated all COVID-19 entry requirements for Japan. Verification of vaccination status or a pre-travel PCR test are no longer required.

Entry requirements are the same as pre-COVID-19. Please review Ministry of Foreign Affairs for guidance on traveling to Japan. 

On 8 May 2023, the Joint COVID-19 Response Center will close. On 9 May, 2023, the III MEF Surgeon's office will become the primary office of responsibility for COVID-19 and all infectious diseases. Personnel who feel sick should contact their primary care manager or other medical personnel to determine necessary treatment and follow-on care.
