BIOGRAPHY

Lieutenant Colonel James P. Dollard , USMC

Commanding Officer of 3d Law Enforcement Battalion

      

 

Lieutenant Colonel James Dollard was born and raised in Rochester, New York. Upon graduating from Spencerport High School (1992), he enlisted in the Marine Corps. 

   

Dollard arrived at Parris Island for recruit training in September of 1992 and graduated in December 1992.  Upon completion of follow on schools, PFC Dollard reported to Security Force Company, Panama from May 1993 to June 1995. Cpl Dollard reported to ‘C’ Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marines from June 1995 – December 1996.  In January 1997, Sgt Dollard conducted a lateral move to the Military Police field and served at the Camp Lejeune Provost Marshal’s Office through January 2001.   SSgt Dollard was selected to attend the Officer Candidate School (OCS) through the Meritorious Commissioning Program.   

 

Dollard was commissioned April 2001.  Upon completion of The Basic School and Military Police School, Lieutenant Dollard served at Camp Lejeune Provost Marshal’s Office from March 2002 – June 2004.  While there, he served as a Platoon Commander and Special Operations Officer.  From June 2004 to February 2005, he deployed to Iraq and served as the Convoy Security Company Commander for Multi-National Security Transition Command, Iraq.  Captain Dollard reported to Twentynine Palms Provost Marshal’s Office from June 2005 to January 2007 and served as the Deputy Provost Marshal.  From February 2007 to June 2008, he deployed to Iraq and served as the Aide De Camp for Major General Doug Stone (USMC) at Task Force 134 (Theater Detention Operations), Multi National Forces, Iraq. Captain Dollard attended the Expeditionary Warfare School at Quantico, VA from July 2008 – May 2009.  In June 2009, Captain Dollard reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 on Okinawa, Japan and served as both the Military Police Company and Motor Transportation Company Commander.  From June 2010 to October 2010 Capt Dollard reported to III MEF and led a company of Marines to Afghanistan for service with the NATO Training Mission - Afghanistan.  Major Dollard served at HQMC PP&O Law Enforcement and Corrections Branch from October 2010 to May 2013. Major Dollard reported to Recruiting Station Orange for service as the Commanding Officer from June 2013 to June 2016. Major Dollard attended the Command and Staff College in Quantico, VA from 2016 to 2017. Lieutenant Colonel arrived in Okinawa in June 2017 for service as the Provost Marshal, Marine Corps Base, Camp Butler.

 

Lieutenant Colonel Dollard received a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Campbell University (2003) and a Masters of Business Administration from National University (2007). 

 

Personal decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with a gold star, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with a gold star, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with a gold star, Good Conduct Service Medal with a bronze star, Combat Action Ribbon, and the Recruiting Ribbon. 

 

He is married to the former Gisela Castro of Panama City, Panama, and they have two children, Geraldy (27) and Kevin Dollard (22), and two grandsons, Luke (5) and Logan (1).
