Title
Amphibious Assault Strengthens Air-Ground Team During Blue Chromite
Marines take over Combat Town, at the Central Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 26, 2015. Marines rode into Combat Town on Amphibious Assault Vehicles during the training event, which was part of Blue Chromite 2016. Blue Chromite is a large-scale, cost-effective on-island exercise led by 4th Marine Regiment. Each element of III Marine Expeditionary Force is represented in Blue Chromite. The training gives Navy and Marine units the opportunity to complete high-level, cost effective training in a realistic, expeditionary environment. Blue Chromite is designed to improve cohesion among all elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force. The Marines are from Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
