Stephanie Mafrici of Rotterdam, New York commissioned into the Marine Corps through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2007. Upon completing The Basic School and Basic Communications Officer Course, she began her career as a Communications Officer.
Her fleet assignments include Platoon Commander, Company Operations Officer, and Company Executive Officer, Communications Company, 2d Marine Logistics Group, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. She deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 9 to Al-Taqaddum, Iraq. She also served as Company Commander, Operations Officer, and Executive Officer, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18 (MWCS-18), Okinawa, Japan.
Her supporting establishment assignments include duties as Warfighting Instructor, Staff Platoon Commander (Company E and Company D), and S-6, The Basic School. She has also served as a Planner for Deputy Commandant, Information and Operations Officer for the Vandegrift Team. Her most recent assignment was Assistant Chief of Staff G-6 for Training and Education Command.
Lieutenant Colonel Mafrici is a graduate of Advanced Communications Officer Course, US Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School, Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course, US Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the US Secretary of Defense Strategic Thinkers Program at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
