Sergeant Major, III Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion
Sergeant Major Christopher L. Doyon

               Sergeant Major Doyon was born on 8 July 1986 in Mt Kisco, New York. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on 01 June 2004. He attended Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Paris Island, South Carolina. After graduating Recruit training he attended Marine Combat Training (MCT) at Camp Geiger, North Carolina. Following completion of MCT, he attended Marine Occupational Specialty (MOS) School at Camp Johnson, North Carolina, for Motor Transport Mechanic (3521). 
   
     In January 2005, Private First Class Doyon received orders to Motor Transport Maintenance Company, Combat Logistic Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, Okinawa, Japan where he served as a Motor Transport Mechanic. He was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal in May 2004. He deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After returning to Okinawa, Japan he was later promoted to the rank of Corporal in November 2006.
 
     Corporal Doyon received orders to 7th Engineer Support Battalion in January 2007 where he served as the Quality Control Chief. While there, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in April 2008. In May 2009, he received orders to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit where he served as the Motor Transport Maintenance Chief and deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
 
     In April 2013, Sergeant Doyon received orders to Drill Instructor School class 3-13, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California. Upon completion, Sergeant Doyon was assigned to Alpha Company 1st Recruit Training Battalion where he served as a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor and Chief Drill Instructor. Sergeant Doyon was promoted to Staff Sergeant in January 2014 and subsequently earned the MOS Motor Transport Maintenance Chief (3529).
 
In August 2016 Staff Sergeant Doyon executed orders and returned to Motor Transport Maintenance Company, Combat Logistic Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, Okinawa, Japan, where he served as the Motor Transport Maintenance Chief and Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge. In July 2018, Staff Sergeant Doyon was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
 
In December 2018 Gunnery Sergeant Doyon was selected to be the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor (AMOI) for Tulane University and reported in July 2019. While there, he instructed "Introduction to Naval Science" and served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the unit. In April 2022 Gunnery Sergeant Doyon was promoted to First Sergeant.
 
In May 2022, First Sergeant Doyon received orders to 8th Communication Battalion, II Marine Information Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, where he served as the Unit Senior Enlisted Leader for General Support Company, Company A, Headquarters Company and Service Company.
 
In May 2025, First Sergeant Doyon was promoted to Sergeant Major and reported to III MEF Support Battalion, where he currently serves as the III MEF Support Battalion Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
 
Sergeant Major Doyon graduated from National University in April 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Psychology and graduated from Tulane University in August 2022 with a Masters of Science Degree in Sport Studies. Sergeant Major Doyon is currently pursuing his Doctoral Degree in education.
    
Sergeant Major Doyon's personal decorations include the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal gold star in lieu of fourth award and the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal gold star in lieu of second award.
