Brigadier general Robert B. Brodie
A Native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, he graduated from The Citadel and was commissioned via Platoon Leader Class in Aug. '94.
Brigadier General Brodie's command assignments include Company Commander of H&HS Co WTFB, Commanding Officer of Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 and Commanding Officer of 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
Brigadier General Brodie's operating forces assignments include three tours in Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 312 as part of Carrier Air Wing One and Three and a tour in Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 533. He served as the Air Officer for Regimental Combat Team 2, the Operations Officer for 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, the G-3 for III MEF and the Director of Expeditionary Warfare, OPNAV.
He has participated in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM I, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM II, NEW DAWN, and INHERENT RESOLVE.
Brigadier General Brodie's additional assignment include the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Commandant for Aviation.
Brigadier General Brodie is a graduate of The Basic School, Naval Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course, Aviation Maintenance Officer Course, and the US Army War College. He holds a BA in International and Military Affairs from The Citadel and Masters in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College.
Brigadier General Brodie's personal decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star, Air Medal Strike-Flight with Numeral 3, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Gold Star.
