An MV-22B Osprey landed in shallow waters off the Okinawa coastline of Camp Schwab on Dec. 13, 2016. All five crewmembers were airlifted via HH-60G to the United States Naval Hospital aboard Camp Foster where they are being treated for injuries. Lieutenant General Lawrence D. Nicholson to discuss December 13 MV-22 incident

The Okinawa Area Coordinator and Commanding General of III Marine Expeditionary Force invites media representatives to a press conference December 14 on Camp Foster, Okinawa, at 3:00 p.m.

Lt Gen. Lawrence D. Nicholson will give a statement and accept a few questions from media representatives about the incident involving an MV-22 Osprey in Okinawa Japan on December 13, 2016.

Media members interested in attending the press conference are asked to arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. December 14, at Gate 1 on Camp Foster. Prior to arrival, please email: full name, agency, vehicle type and number, and a cell phone number of a media member attending to the III MEF-MCIPAC public affairs office at OkinawaPao@usmc.mil. On-base parking will be provided for media representatives. An official photo ID (i.e. passport or driver's license) and media armband will be required for base access.
