Petty Officer 3rd Class Hayes Barber, from New Orleans, Louisiana, signals where simulated casualties lie Jan. 19 during a mass casualty drill as part of Lava Viper 15.1-2 at Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii, Hawaii. The purpose of the drill was to speed up future recoveries of casualties. Barber is a hospital corpsman with Marine Wing Support Detachment 24, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The helicopters are with Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 463, MAG-24.
