Philippine and a U.S. Navy Seabees, members of their naval construction battalions, weld together rebar while working on the humanitarian civic assistance project at Concepcion Elementary School Sept. 25, during Amphibious Landing Exercise 2015 (PHIBLEX 15). PHIBLEX 15 is an annual, bilateral training exercise conducted by members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines alongside U.S. Marine and Navy Forces. It focuses on strengthening the partnership and relationships between the two nations across a range of military operations, including disaster relief and complex expeditionary operations. The welded rebar will act as braces for the support beams that will be used to support an overhang.
