Six MV-22B Ospreys and two CH-53E Super Stallions prepare to take off after deploying a battalion of infantry Marines on Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, during a regimental air assault as part of Blue Chromite 16, Oct. 31. Blue Chromite is an amphibious exercise conducted by Marines in the ground, logistics and air combat elements of III Marine Expeditionary Force. The Ospreys are with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Airwing, III MEF. The Super Stallions are with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462, MAG 16, 2nd MAW, II MEF, currently attached to MAG 36, 1st MAW, III MEF, under the unit deployment program.
