Six MV-22B Ospreys and two CH-53E Super Stallions prepare to take off after deploying a battalion of infantry Marines onto the island of Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, for a regimental air assault during Blue Chromite 2016, Oct. 31, 2015. Blue Chromite is an amphibious exercise conducted by Marines in the ground, logistics and air combat elements of III Marine Expeditionary Force. The Super Stallions are with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II MEF, currently attached to MAG 36, 1st MAW, III MEF. The Ospreys are with MAG 36, 1st MAW, III MEF. The infantry Marines are with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II MEF, currently under the command of 4th Marines, 3rd MarDiv, III MEF. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
