A UH-1Y Huey takes off from a forward armament and refueling point during Blue Chromite, in Landing Zone Phoenix, Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 31, 2015. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Air Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force, executed a FARP to provide aircraft also supporting Blue Chromite with fuel to continue defending the ground element of the Marine Air Ground Task Force. Blue Chromite is a large-scale amphibious exercise that draws primarily from III MEF training resources on Okinawa. The location of the training allows participating units to maintain a forward-deployed posture and eliminates the cost of traveling to train. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl. Natalie A.
