Mar 7, 2016
Gunnery Sgt. Shawn McLouth, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, pushes water toward a main trench, March 4, 2016 in Gwangyang, Republic of Korea. The water made the camp temporarily inoperable but the Marines were able to adapt to the situation and remove the water. Gwanyang Port is being used for reception, staging, and onward integration of Marines and equipment as part of Ssang Yong 16 and Freedom Banner 16. Ssang Yong 16 is a biennial combined amphibious exercise conducted by forward-deployed U.S. forces with the Republic of Korea Navy and Marine Corps, Australian Army and Royal New Zealand Army Forces in order to strengthen our interoperability and working relationships across a wide range of military operations - from disaster relief to complex expeditionary operations. McLouth is the maintenance chief for 1st Tanks Battalion. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Kelsey M. Dornfeld/ Released)
