Ssang Yong, meaning “Twin Dragons,” is a joint, amphibious exercise that reinforces the U.S. and Republic of Korea’s commitment to security in the Asia-Pacific region. The exercise comprises sea basing, naval integration between Marines and Sailors of the ROK and US, and partnership between the armed forces of the ROK, U.S., New Zealand and Australia.
