Marines with 3rd Marine Logistics Group and Marine Corps Installations Pacific earn their tabs in the Martial Arts Instructors Course to qualify to be Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructors. Their character, mental fortitude and physical endurance are tested constantly throughout the course as they are put through rigorous training and instruction. Within the course they were also provided an opportunity to train with an Okinawan Karate sensei (teacher).

Spouses of active duty military members participate in multiple events designed to give the spouses a 'hands on' experience in the daily life of their significant other April 24 on Okinawa, Japan.

Marines with 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, underwent French commando training as part of exercise Americall 2 Sept. 24 - Oct.28 in New Caledonia.
