KAMANDAG helps participating forces maintain a high level of readiness and responsiveness, and enhances combined military-to-military relations, interoperability, and multinational coordination. KAMANDAG 3 is a Philippine-led, bilateral exercise. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase “Kaagapay Ng Mga Manirigma Ng Dagat,” which translates to “Cooperation of the Warriors of the Sea,” highlighting the partnership between the U.S. and Philippine militaries. Bougainville III: USNS City of Bismarck

U.S. Marines and Civil Service Mariners prove the capabilities of the USNS City of Bismarck (T-EPF-9) during exercise Bougainville III at Kamuela, Hawaii Feb. 14-15, 2024. Bougainville III is a 3d LCT live-fire exercise focused on decentralized operations to prepare the battalion to command and control forces from dispersed locations. MSC exists to support the joint warfighter across the full spectrum of military operations, in peace and war. The Marines are with 3d Littoral Combat Team, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division and the Civil Service Mariners are with the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command.
