U.S. Marines with Alpha Company, 7th Communications Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, conduct a communication exercise at the Jungle Warfare Training Center at Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 15 through 19, 2018. The purpose of the training was to test the operational abilities of the Marines and their equipment in a jungle environment.

KORMAR platoon exchange 2018

U.S. Marines with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, train with Indonesian Korps Marinr (KORMAR) during the platoon exchange 2018 in Antralina training area, Indonesia, Aug. 3-26, 2018. The military exchange program between Indonesia and the U.S. involves each country sending a platoon of Marines to live and train together at the other’s military base. This program enhances the capability of both services and displays their continued commitment to share information and increase the ability to respond to crises together. Jungle Warfare Training Center

Marines go through the Jungle Warfare Training Course (JWTC) at Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 6 through Aug. 10, 2018. JWTC trains Marines how to handle tough situations under the rigors of a jungle environment; Marines are tested on land navigation, rappelling, knot tying, patrols, and team work. The Marines with Bravo Company, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, are forward deployed to 3rd Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployed Program.
