Fighting and winning our nation’s battles since July 7, 1941, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, the Aviation Combat Element of III Marine Expeditionary Force, provides combat ready, task organized forces capable of conducting aviation operations across all six functions of Marine Aviation in naval and expeditionary environments, and commands and controls aviation forces through the Tactical Air Command Center in order to contribute to the accomplishment of our nation's security objectives as required by standing operational plans in the Pacific Command's area of responsibility, engagement operations in support of Marine Forces Pacific, overseas contingency operations, and other operations as directed. Col. Christopher A. Feyedelem passes the regimental colors at the 3rd Marine Logistics Group Headquarters Regiment change of command ceremony, June 28, 2017, on Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. Since July 2015, Feyedelem, a Norwalk, Ohio native, has served as the regimental commanding officer as well as the camp commander for Camp Kinser. His responsibilities not only entailed taking care of his Marines, but also developing relationships and working closely with the local community of Urasoe City. Sgt. Yaneire Dominguez travels to Okinawa, Japan, to participate in Exercise Key Resolve 17, March 21, 2017. Dominguez, a Chicago, Illinois native and police officer is also a civil affairs specialist with 3rd Civil Affairs Group, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Corps Force Reserves.
