The Desert Hawk jump package allows the Marines to participate in high altitude low opening and high altitude high opening jumps from heights ranging from 12,000 to 19,000 feet.

U.S. Marines with 3d Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3d Marine Logistics Group, and Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 152 prepare supplies to be dropped as Marines conduct static-line and free-fall parachute jumps during aerial delivery training at Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, July 14 and 15, 2021. KAMANDAG 3 is a Philippine-led, bilateral exercise with participation from Japan.
