Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit participate in volunteer events hosted by the Single Marine Program at locations across Okinawa, Japan, April 18-26, 2019. During the SMP’s Days of Service week, 31st MEU Marines helped give back to the local community during outreach events across Okinawa. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region. With the stage set, the amplifiers cranked to 11, and the anticipation high, a crowd gathered for Hansen Fest. The concert event was held Sept. 13-14 on Camp Hansen and had free admission to all locals, service members, and their families. The band P.O.D. was the headliner for the event. Cpl. Leaders from Camp Hansen Single Marine Program organized a formal Masquerade Ball that featured a night of dancing and theatre at The Palms on Camp Hansen April 12.
