U.S., Thai and Republic of Korea Marines participated in Jungle Survival training Feb. 8, 2016 in Latowan, Thailand. The Marines are part of exercise Cobra Gold 16. CG 16 is the 35th iteration of Cobra Gold which provides a joint and combined task force venue to maintain readiness, while emphasizing security and humanitarian cooperation in the Pacific .

Cpl. Connor Scott, from Long Island, New York, conducts a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel exercise along side his working dog Bobo for Blue Chromite on Okinawa, Japan Oct. 28, 2015. The event was part of Blue Chromite 2016, which builds cohesion among elements of the Marine Air Ground Task Force. Blue Chromite is a large-scale, cost-effective on-island exercise led by 4th Marine Regiment. Each element of III Marine Expeditionary Force is represented in Blue Chromite. Mortarmen Marines underwent a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel training exercise at the Central Training Area, Okinawa, Japan. The objective behind the exercise was to locate a simulated downed pilot and return him safely to friendly lines. Available in high definition.

An F/A-18C Hornet performs an arrested landing at Clark Air Field, Pampanga, Republic of the Philippines, Oct. 2 as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. The arresting equipment is a mechanical system used to rapidly decelerate an aircraft as it lands. The recurrence of PHIBLEX, now in its 30th year, demonstrates the commitment of the U.S. and Republic of the Philippines to mutual security and their long-time partnership. U.S. and Thai service members conducted a tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel training event Feb. 15 at Nakhon Ratchasima, Kingdom of Thailand during exercise Cobra Gold 2013. The training was conducted for the pilots to maintain their knowledge and work together in the event that they become a downed pilot. The U.S. service members are with Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The Thai service member is with Squadron 401, Royal Thai Air Force.
