Merry Christmas From South Korea

Camp Lejeune based U.S. Marines from 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines, currently forward deployed in the Pacific with III MEF, are in the Republic of Korea focused on building war fighting skills with their ROK Marine brothers. The Korean Marine Exchange Program 16-3 brings the two Corps together during the holidays at the Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, South Korea. The two groups of Marines are coming together to celebrate the holidays alongside their fellow Marine brothers and sisters.

Air, Ground Warriors Perfect MAGTF Ops During Blue Chromite

Using the MV-22 Osprey, infantry Marines rapidly inserted into the Jungle Warfare Training Center, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 31, 2015, in a massive, regimental air assault during Blue Chromite 2016, which builds cohesion among elements of the Marines Air Ground Task Force. Blue Chromite is a large-scale, cost-effective on-island exercise led by 4th Marine regiment. The Marines, from Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Regiment, are currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program. U.S. Marines and the Australian Army execute an aerial assault course during exercise Talisman Sabre 2015 at Bradshaw Training Area, Australia, on July 10. TS 15 is designed to improve U.S. and Australian combat readiness and interoperability. The U.S. Marines are with 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The Australian soldiers are with Charlie Company, 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, 1st Brigade.

Filipino, U.S. Marines Conduct Aerial Assault During Balikatan

U.S. and Filipino Marines conduct a regimental aerial assault into Crow Valley, Philippines, during exercise Balikatan 2015, April 19. MV-22 Tiltrotor Ospreys flew in dropping off infantry men from 4th Marine Regiment along with their Filipino counterparts into the valley to start the field training exercise Combined Vigilance. The large scale exercise in Crow Valley is a fully integrated training exercise with the Filipino and U.S. Marines working shoulder to shoulder, honing their war fighting skills and learning from each other. Exercise Balikatan is a bilateral training exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U. S. military to increase interoperability.
