U.S. Marines with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a live fire range with the Browning M2 .50 Caliber Machine Gun and a Mark-19 40mm at Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, June 2, 2017. Weapons Company conducted the range to help Marines refine their employment of crew-served weapon systems. As the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed unit, the 31st MEU air-ground-logistics team provides a flexible force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations, from limited combat to humanitarian assistance operations, throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific Region.
