U.S. and Philippine military aircraft community personnel participated in a variety of subject matter exchange events at Clark Air Base, Calumpang, Mabalacat City, Philippines, during Exercise Balikatan 2018, held from May 7 to 18. The training was held to further interoperability between the U.S. and the Philippines, particularly among the various aircraft community members. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations.(U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt.
