U.S. Sailor RP2 Phillips McCandless with Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 1 ran a 100K Ultra Marathon on Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 16, 2018. McCandless put his strength and endurance to the ultimate test by running over 60 miles. Every 1st Marine Aircraft Wing Marine and Sailor must be physically fit, regardless of age, grade, gender, or duty assignment.
