U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Aliye Z. Sanou, a preventive medicine officer with III Marine Expeditionary Force, discusses her experience with COVID-19 on a personal level and as a medicine officer, on Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, Mar. 12, 2021. Sanou has been stationed in Okinawa, Japan, for almost a year and serves in one of the lead roles for III MEF’s COVID-19 mitigation and vaccine process.
