U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Andrew Terrel, Battalion Landing Team 1/5’s Commanding Officer, with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), explains his unique approach to unit physical fitness standards on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, April 22, 2022. BLT 1/5 held the Savage Games in order to build unit cohesion and push the limits of the individuals in their command. The 31st MEU, The Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
