For 250 years, U.S. Marines have been the nation's expeditionary force in readiness. Today, in 2025, 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, carries on the legacy established by 3rd Marine Regiment and provides a strategically positioned, forward postured and rapidly deployable formation to the joint force. As the U.S. Marine Corps celebrates its 250th birthday on Nov. 10, 2025, 3rd MLR Marines and Sailors remain combat ready as a Stand-In Force in support of multi-domain operations in the Indo-Pacific.
