The remote island of Oshima, in northern Japan, has had no water or power for sixteen days. The earthquake and tsunami that ravaged the area also destroyed the island’s only two ferries, severely limiting relief efforts. Sherry expresses the importance of the Tomodachi Rescue Exercise as a shared responsibility for serving with our Japanese allies to provide support in critical situations and shares his personal experiences receiving and providing disaster relief.
