Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conducted aircraft firefighting training on a simulated helicopter frame. The Marines hail from non-firefighting occupations, but while attached to the 31st MEU and deploying with aircraft on ships, every aviation Marine that works around aircraft is required to know how to extinguish a fire in the event one occurs.
