The Republic of Korea Marine Corps hosts U.S. Marines with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force throughout March and April as part of Korea Marine Exercise Program 17-6. The U.S. and ROK Marines worked together to accomplish mechanized maneuvers, mountain warfare training and live fire ranges, along with other bilateral training. The goal of the KMEP is to enhance and improve the interoperability of ROK and U.S. Marine Corps forces at the tactical level to build combined warfighting capabilities.
