Capt. Elizabeth Volk, company commander of A Co., 9th Engineer Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, and Pfc. James Hickey, a combat engineer with the company, explain the use and deployment of mine-clearing line charges in Paju, South Korea, during Exercise Winter Workhorse 17/Korean Marine Exchange Program 18.1. KMEP 18.1 is a part of a series of regularly-scheduled exercises with the Republic of Korea Marine Corps which familiarizes U.S. armed forces with the Korean Peninsula and reinforces the U.S.'s commitment to security in the region.
