U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Edward Ahmadzai, a data system administrator with Company A, 7th Communication Battalion, details the training he is taking part in during the communication exercise, at the Jungle Warfare Training Center, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 27, 2019. Ahmadzai, a native of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, offered advice for Marines on their first field operation. Marines took part not only in communication related tasks, but part of the training focused on the unit’s ability to deploy small fire teams in support of long-range rapid deployments where the Marine Corps will need to establish austere bases.(U.S. Marine Corps video by Sgt.
