Marines and Sailors of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit flooded the flight deck of the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) for sunshine, music, games and food during a 4th of July celebration. Called a "Steel Beach Picnic," food service Marines and Sailors prepared more than 1,300 burgers, 800 pieces of barbecued chicken, and 800 hot dogs for the 31st MEU and ship's crew.
