STEPS TO SET UP YOUR TRAVEL:
1. Marines, Sailors, civilians, and family members, your chain of command is the primary resource to submit FEML requests and address questions.
2. FEML MARFORJ Eligibility

Service members and DoD civilians with orders to Okinawa for 24 months or more, and their dependents.

Dependents authorized to reside with sponsor. Authorized dependents may execute FEML travel without sponsor accompaniment.

Students authorized to reside with sponsor and attending school away form sponsor's permanent duty station.
3. How do you get started?
- Traveler is required to verify eligibility and receive verbal approval from their section Defense Travel System Approving Officer.

Fill out the FEML request for Patriot Express booking. This step must be completed on Sharepoint and requires a Common Access Card (CAC) to access the website.

DMO will receive the request and provide booking data upon availability and return the info to the traveler

Traveler will enter all travelers into DTS and create the DTS travel authorization.

DTS will begin the routing process after the traveler signs the authorization.

After the AO approval level in the DTS authorization the AO will track the travel along with DMO.

The traveler will receive his/her flight tickets.

Ensure that you file a DTS voucher upon your return to Okinawa!
4. How do I find FEML flights?
Consult the USFJ FEML flight information. Flight information displayed is current as of the date/time highlighted. Missions can be added or dropped based on demand. For that reason, eligible members should focus on travel windows during the FEML request process, less specific missions.
