Capt Robert C. Schronski
Capt Robert C. Schronski was born on 27 March, 1984, in Oak Lawn, IL. He graduated from high school in Plainfield, IL in June of 2002 and enlisted in the Marine Corps later in the month. Upon graduation from Marine Combat Training, PFC Schronski attended Communications Intelligence Intercept Operator/Analyst school in Pensacola, Florida. Upon graduating from Pensacola in May of 2003, LCpl Schronski was selected to attend Morse Code school in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. In November of 2003, he reported to India Company, Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion in Kunia, Hawaii. During his time there he served as a Morse code operator and eventually as the Morse code section supervisor.
From June 2005 to October 2005, Sgt Schronski deployed with 3rd Radio Bn as an individual augmentation to Camp Ramadi, Iraq, in support of OIF. During this time he served as the senior tactical reporter for incoming collections.
In August 2006, Sgt Schronski reported to University of Illinois as a participant in the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP). He commissioned in August 2009, majoring in both Philosophy and Political Science.
After completing The Basic School in April 2010, 2ndLt Schronski attended Basic Communications Officer Course in Quantico, VA. Upon graduating from Quantico in December 2010, he reported to Communications Company, Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division where he served as the Data Platoon Commander. In May 2011, 1stLt Schronski reported to 3rd Battalion 5th Marine Regiment to serve as the Battalion Communications Officer. While serving in this billet, his unit deployed as the Battalion Landing Team for the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
In July of 2013, he transitioned to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) where he served as the Deputy Program Manager for Integrated Waveform and the Program Manager for PDA-184. In August of 2014, Capt Schronski was selected to serve as the Aide De Camp to the Vice Director. He later completed the Advanced Communications Officers Course and served as the Military Satellite Communications Liaison for his remaining year at DISA.
In July of 2016, Capt Schronski reported to 7th Communications Battalion where he presently serves.
