FIRST LIEUTENANT JONATHAN M CHARLES
BRAVO COMPANY EXECUTIVE OFFICER
7th COMMUNICATION BATTALION
Second Lieutenant Jonathan M. Charles was commissioned in May 2014 from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Upon completion of The Basic School, he was designated a Communications Officer and attended Basic Communication Officers Course at Marine Corps Communications Electronic School (MCCES) in Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) Twentynine Palms, California on April 2015. Upon completion of the course, in October of 2015 Second Lieutenant Charles was assigned to 7th Communications Battalion in Okinawa, Japan, and assumed the role as a platoon commander of Transmissions platoon, Company B. Following this assignment Second Lieutenant Charles was promoted to First Lieutenant in June of 2016. In June 2016 First Lieutenant Charles assumed the role of platoon commander for Alert Contingency MAGTF (ACM) platoon, Company B. In October 2016 First Lieutenant Charles assumed the role as the Company Operations officer and served in that roll till May of 2017. First Lieutenant Charles presently serves as the Bravo Company Executive Officer.
