Service members attend the second Okinawan Kenpo and Kobudo International Seminar at a dojo in Ginowan, Okinawa, Japan, October 29, 2016. The seminar was being held over a two-day period, October 29-30, 2016, and allowed senseis from around the world to teach and train interested locals and service members on Okinawa, the birthplace and "Mecca" of karate. Members from the U.S. Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps, including contractors and veterans, attended the seminar.

160803-M-ND832-001 MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (Aug. 3, 2016) – Provisional Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Hawaii is currently wrapping up Rim of the Pacific 2016, a multinational military exercise, from June 29 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian islands. The brigade is comprised of service members from the U.S., Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Japan,Tonga and Indonesia. It is commanded by 3rd Marine Regiment, which supports III Marine Expeditionary Force. RIMPAC 16, the world's largest amphibious, maritime exercise, promotes interoperability among 26 participating nations and helps maintain security and stability on the world's sea lanes and oceans. 160713-M-WH287-082 KAHUKU TRAINING AREA (JULY 13, 2016)-U.S. Marines, Australian Army soldiers and Indonesian Marines conduct a company-size helicopter-borne raid into Kahukus Training Area from USS America. Company G, 2nd Battalion, 3d Marines are taking part in Exercise Rim of the Pacific 16, the world's largest international maritime exercise. The battalion is a ground combat element for a III MEF Marine Air-Ground Task Force embarked aboard USS San Diego and USS America during an exercise that increases naval integration.
