SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The search to define successful leadership has been ongoing for centuries, and it is difficult to find one simple phrase that fully encompasses the scope of characteristics demonstrated by a successful leader. Although leadership is not easily defined, it is something worthy of being identified, valued, and held in high regard, in the hopes that through these examples of leadership, others will be inspired to also do great things.
To that end, the Leadership Wayne County Alumni Association in partnership with the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce created an award called the Wayne County Leader of the Year Award in 2010. This award will be presented annually at the Fall Leadership Conference presented by the Leadership Wayne County Alumni Association. The Award recipient will receive an individual award, and will also have their name placed on a master plaque containing the entire list of Leader of the Year Awards which will be displayed in the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce.
If you know someone deserving of this prestigious award, visit the Chamber's website,
